We Went To The Sultan Palas As A Family With Two T

We went to the Sultan Palas as a family with two teenage sons.

I was aware that it would be quiet and tranquil and was not disappointed. The hotel is in a beautiful garden setting with forests behind. Swallows swoop to drink from the swimming pool and frogs and the occasional tortoise visit.

It is some way out of Dalyan and you are tied to the hotel ferry timetable as you have to cross the river to reach the town. However this just becomes part of the fun of the holiday and the boat trip is a major pleasure in itself.

I was under the impression that the hotel clientele were mostly retired Brits who come back regularly but there were plenty of children when we stayed who had a blissful time in the pool (and occasionally "helped " to steer the boat!).

The food was good and excellent value but I would recommend occasionally eating out in Dalyan where we had some memorable meals.

I would recommend the Sultan Palas wholeheartedly if you wish to relax and recharge your batteries in a beautiful place.

Hotel Set In A Very Beautiful And Peaceful Locatio

Hotel set in a very beautiful and peaceful location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had a private villa feel to it with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Pool area was lovely and it was great not having to get up at 7am to claim a sun lounger! Boat trip to Dalyan took about 10mins but the scenery is very unspoilt and beautiful. Another world! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the Sultan Palas and found the people and the place very charming. If your looking a relaxing holiday in an unspoilt location its perfect, however if you like clubs and pubs, its not for you.

The Sultan Palas Hotel In Dalyan Is A Tiny, Beauti

The Sultan Palas Hotel in Dalyan is a tiny, beautiful hotel which blends into a dramatic valley. This place really is an oasis for people looking for something a bit different in Turkey. To get there, you are met at Dalaman airport, driven to the Dalyan Delta river, where you have to take a small boat across the river, then back on the bus for a few minutes. It's chaotic and not very well organised, but it somehow adds to its charm.

The hotel is very small, and also very quiet. While there are regular boat trips, and other excursions are available, it is absolute heaven just to laze by the pool and soak up the sun. Be warned though; Turkey in August is HOT!

The food was great, the staff were fantastic and the place was always clean and well presented. As I said before, it is a very quiet hotel, so if you come here expecting nightlife, entertainment and clubbing, you will be disappointed.
