Alanya, Alaiye Kleopatra

Stayed in the hotel 'Mesut Otel' on the Alanya Kleopatra sea front.

The views from this Hotel are absolutely stunning both day and night, the location of this hotel is 10 out of 10.

The hotel was very basic and if you do not like chicken then simply don't go there.

The rooms were very adequate for the price paid and they were kept clean and beds were changed regularly.

The bar given that it was an all inclusive was a major let down, all drinks were served from bottles and tops left off bottles so drinks went flat and also quickly reached room temperature. Drinks were very much a restricted choice and if you can drink the vodka or dry gin then you have a stronger stomach than I have.

Generally the hotel was clean and tidy but there was a problem with mosquitoes although the hotel did fumigate when the problem became quite unbearable.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the bar man known as Alex has some grasp of English and he helped where he could,

One member of the reception day staff had no English whatever but most tried their best, the night man was very helpful and friendly.

I needed to check on return pickups I asked at the check-in desk and the lady there (Nuren Yilmen) speaks very good English and she was very helpful indeed, making our phone calls for us and sorting out our returns to the airport.

The swimming pool appeared to be very clean and also all areas where food was served, with very good waitor service in the dining room. A self service style buffet with a number of choices of cold items but the hot food was limited to only one choice per meal.

Summing up:

You get what you pay for here with some reservation but the service given by the staff is very fair.

This hotel could definitely be improved and then it would I am sure rarely every be short of clientele.

The main points to improve are: More bar choices with a better way of vending drinks, more choice of hot food and the sweets definately need to be varied.

I would like to thank all memebers of staff at the Mesut Otel who did try to make our holiday a pleasant and enjoyable time.
