The Golf Hotel & Spa, Woodhall Spa

My husband and I spent our wedding anniversary here August 2011 and we found the staff and management to be friendly and attentive. The Hotel is undergoing an extensive refurbishment program and the management make this quite clear on their web.site, however this did not detract from an excellent standard of food and service in the restaurant, a good selection of freshly prepared dishes to suite English, Indian and Italian palettes. The replenishment of room consumables was good and high quality products used. The room we stayed in was clean and of a modern/contempory decor inside, which is deceptive and a pleasant surprise from the outside of the hotel. Mina, her family and staff are exceptionally helpful and obliging. There is plenty to do, a visit to the Kinema in the woods is a must and is a very short walk from the hotel, as are the varied eating places and interesting array of shops to persuse at leisure, plenty of woodland walks to explore and of course a 'hotbed' for golf enthusiasts. a worthwhile visit/stay.
