Cardiff, Cardiff Marriott Hotel

I had my school prom at this event. Although the event organiser was told, prior to booking, that we would be able to have bottles of wine on the tables for the guest, once the contract had been signed the MArriott changeed their minds and told us that because four members of our party were under 18 (the legal age for having wine with a meal is actually sixteen, and we were all over this age) we would be unable to have wine on the tables and would have to order the wine sold at the bar with proof of age. On the night not a single person was asked for proof of age. The Coca-Cola used as a mixer was watered down to the point it tasted dfferent, and a small rum and Coca-cola was £4.90. I struggle to believe the Marriott *needed* to charge this mmuch. At the very least they could have provided a good-quality (i.e. not watered down) drink for this price!

The food was excellent, however and the room had recently been refurbished so was in excellent condition.
