Jersey, La Haule Manor Hotel, St. Aubin

We have just returned from a late March weekend break in Jersey and stayed for the first time at the La Haule . We have stayed at a lot of hotels in all sorts of locations (including the Channel Islands) and La Haule is amongst the best we have stayed in, in the price range. The hotel is located just back from the front of St Aubins Bay and ideal for couples.. The guest rooms and the public rooms are comfortably furnished in a French style and the bathrooms whilst in the same style are a joy with big baths and showers and copious amounts of hot water. Breakfast is served in a lower function room that also serves as a bar. The breakfast (which included full English plus cereals, fruit, pastries, fruit juices etc) itself was fresh and freshly prepared to order. As St Aubins has really good choice of first class great value restaurants the hotel does not serve dinner and I can understand why. Give the Channel Islands a try, no crowds, no long journeys (40 minutes from Gatwick), easy driving and lots to see, great food and the possibility of some great weather.
