My Husband And I Came Across Caleidonian Hotel On
My husband and I came across Caleidonian Hotel on our honeymoon in September 2002, when we were travelling through the Highlands. The hotel is nestled right on the side of Loch Ness in a beautiful village.
The hotel is a 3*, was just £28 per night per person, and for an extra £5 each, you could have a wonderful Scottish four course meal, which was just out of this world. Courses included wild salmon, venison, and beautiful local haggis. We had a full Scottish breakfast each morning, and there was just so much food, we were unable to finish it.
The owners Johanna and Chris were really lovely, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Johanna does all the cooking, and she really is a wonderful chef. Chris runs the small residents bar in the evenings, which also stocked a good selection of local and island whiskeys, much to my husbands delight!
The rooms were spotlessly clean, with television, good size bathroom, tea, coffee and biscuits in all rooms.
We stayed for four nights and had a wonderful time. We are hoping to return next year, and we really cannot wait. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
