Warwick, Machado Gallery B&B

This b & b looked amazing in the pictures and reviews, making it a 'must' to stay in. The pictures make everything look three times bigger than it actually is and although the sheets and floors were clean, we thought the whole house could do with a thorough dust! In the picture it showed scones with fresh fruit and fresh baked bread etc. In real life there were only eggs and tomatoes offered for a cooked breakfast and on asking for a sausage told oh no I don't do them! Coffee was half a cup and the proprietor looked anxious on asking for a second half! Fruit was a thin slice of melon and half a kiwi.We felt uncomfortable too as if we were invading her space. The kitchen cupboards were black round the handles and no fridge space was available to us for any bits of food we had. We were sorry we had booked for two nights and did make a few enquiries to see if anything else was available at short notice, that's how uncomfortable we felt. Machado Gallery in warick is one to avoid.
