Three Horseshoes Inn, Little Cowarne Herefordshire

Yesterday had lunch at The Three Horsehoes Inn, Little Cowarne, Nr Bromyard, Herefordfshire. One of the best lunches I have had for a long time. I went on the Times voucher scheme. My husband started with pate which he said was very generous, I had a beautiful rolled mackeral. For the second course my husband had lamb's liver, onion gravy, again expertly cooked) I had a beautiful brie cooked in filo pastry (I have never had this before, very different- with pickled cabbage and horseradish dip) it was beautiful. The vegetables that came with these dishes were fresh and tasty. The owner took time to speak to us, he said that all his food was sourced locally. He was passionate about the food and how well the animals had been kept. Nothing has been frozen so the food was fresh. If anyone is in the area please do go and have a meal you certainly will NOT be dissappointed.
