Terrible. Dirty. Overpriced
Stayed here for my wife's birthday after believing the lies and 'professional' pictures on their website. Room was horrible; carpet stained, sheets dirty and walls and bathroom tiles dirty and cracked. Awful service which becomes aggressive and rude when complain.
Avoid at all costs

Strattons Hotel Is Nestled Away Just Off The Marke
Strattons hotel is nestled away just off the market square. Only those with a keen I will be able to spot the entrance. When you do enter the driveway it feels like you've instantly switched into the countryside with hens running around (god knows how they don't lose them into the main street as there is no gate). You are greeted warmly by the owners on your arrival and its all very personal. The rooms themselves are ok although the bathroom was suffering a little from damp and the room was just in the turn of getting a little tatty. You come here for the food and most gastronome's won't be disappointed. Wherever possible the food is local. I had actually had a discussion with the waitress about the particular chicken I was eating which was strangely not off putting in the slightest. The town itself is a bit run down and not one you would want to spend time in. I believe they film Kingdom (Stephen Fry) here. That said, the hotel's location is good if you want to discover the surrounding Norfolk countryside. Burnham Market and Wells next the sea are definately worth a visit.
