Stansted, Essex Oak Lodge Luxury B&B

Great luxury B&B close to Stansted Airport, lovely hosts, car parking, taxis arranged, just very convenient and very good

As I stated, service was superb! Our room was so nice and clean and wonderfully comfy that we cannot wait to just lie down and snooze away our tired bones. Breakfast the next morning was fantastic.

The owners made such a positive impression that we promise ourselves that we will go back to spend more time with them.

Stanstead 5 minutes no noise from airport

We needed to fly to Croatia on a recent business trip, as we will be sending dental patients there from the UK, Ireland and USA shortly. Flight was too early and Stansted Airport is a good 2 hours drive from our location, Lincoln.

Hence I started my search for a Band B and I found this one the most recommended. I was also considering Radisson, but as we only needed a stopover I found it silly to pay hundreds. So I booked Oak Lodge. It was late at night when we arrived, and you need a good map to find a place, right end of a small lane (we used satnav).

As the electric gate opened and we drove in I felt if I was in a tale. The guest house itself looks like something out of history and the owners greeted us like long lost friends. There is a lovely breakfast room, and if your flight is early they will prepare a continental breakfast for you, so you just help yourself. The room was lovely, very clean and nice.

We were starving hungry and really longing for a curry. The lady recommended this wonderful Indian restaurant, called Saffron, she called them and asked them not to close and serve us. It was very nice.

So, I only can recommend this hotel and I wish I would've spent more time there.

Oak Lodge is perfectly located for Stansted Airport and an ideal place to stay when exploring North Essex as well.

An attractive house in a wonderful setting, Jan and Ron were welcoming, attentive hosts and the Oak Lodge was well presented and nicely equipped.

Our meals were wonderfully prepared and very tasty, we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

We found Oak Lodge on Review Centre. We flew from Stansted Airport and stayed at Oak Lodge the night before our flight. Thoroughly recommended! It is ideal for the airport with safe car parking. We had a lovely bedroom and an excellent breakfast to set us up for our journey.

Oak Lodge is ideal when travelling through Stansted Airport, and it beats all of those anonymous corporate airport hotels which are just like the terminals they serve and completely impersonal.

The people at Oak Lodge on the other hand are warm, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is great, and it sets you up for the day.

The bottom line... In my opinion, Oak Lodge is the best B&B in the area. Recommended!

Oak Lodge is a luxury bed & breakfast, a Tudor style house in lovely gardens close to London Stansted Airport. Excellent location and great accommodation, it is highly recommended.

Excellent accommodation, excellent location and good value. The Essex Oak is a very good choice indeed for Stansted Airport.

We found their website oaklodgebb quite by chance on the internet, after recently staying there we would very highly recommend Oak Lodge to anyone wishing to stay overnight travelling via the airport or exploring North Essex and surrounding area.

Oak Lodge is a quality Tudor style luxury bed & breakfast set in secluded gardens but more importantly conveniently close to London Stansted Airport.

We had lovely clean comfortable and very nicely decorated rooms, the service was very friendly and our freshly cooked traditional English breakfast delicious.

Safe parking was available in the grounds for our car while we were away and they arranged taxis for the short trip to airport, what more could you want.

If you want somewhere relaxing to stay close to Stansted Aiport STAY HERE, don't stay in one of the big airport hotels that are like the airport terminals they serve where you are completely anonymous and just a number.

It was not like staying in a hotel, we felt like staying with friends, Jan & Ron are really nice people are very friendly.

We would certainly stay here again I can really recommend Oak Lodge.
