Location - Beautiful - And Aircraft Noise Minimal.

Location - beautiful - and aircraft noise minimal. Room a good size and nicely furnished. Electronic bleep from fire system was on all night long. They take your car keys for 'off site' storage but at the same time decline all responsibility for your vehicle - and only tell you this when you get there. I would never use this hotel again. It really is 'on the cheap' and we did not sleep at all

Nice Staff. I Really Liked This Hotel As It Was V

Nice staff. I really liked this hotel as it was very comfortable to stay in and it's very efficient. The staff were very friendly and helpful! It was a little too small. I highly recommend this hotel because the staff were really kind and it is close to the airport.

I Found This Hotel Very Efficient. It Was Close To

I found this Hotel very efficient. It was close to Stansted airport so it was easy to get there for my flight early the next morning.

The beds were nice and comfortable and the room was a good size. I do recommend this hotel.

The Essex Desalis Hotel At Stansted Is Quite Diffi

The Essex DeSalis Hotel at Stansted is quite difficult to book - I tried online without success so booked by phone.

Rooms OK but fittings and furnishings appear to be the cheapest available.

Breakfast consisted of stale croissants, toast , 1 inch cubes of Brie cheese and thin slices of dried-up ham together with a plastic cup of machine coffee.

The pickup from the airport took 3 calls and 45 minutes again chauffeured by a would be Michael Schumacher.

When we arrived back at the hotel to collect our car it had an extra 18 miles on the clock and a complementary bag of rubbish in the boot - when questioned on this all I received was a shrug of the shoulders.

Overall I would rate this as the worst experience I have had in a hotel anywhere in Europe and would suggest you seriously consider whether you would want to stay there.

Booked A Room About Three Weeks In Advance And Was

Booked a room about three weeks in advance and was told the twin disabled room was available and booked it.

Called in the week before to make sure room was OK for a disabled lady in wheelchair, appeared all right.

Arrived on day to pick up disabled lady from the airport later. I was told the disabled room had been given to someone else, even though I had arrived early? I was offered a disabled room with double bed in it and they would put in a single bed for the disabled lady. Turns out the single bed was in fact a foldaway bed. I told them she would not be able to sleep on that and we would have to try a ordinary room. So I started to sort the room out for the disabled lady, bed up against a wall etc.

Then they said they would move the other people out of the disabled room, so we could use it after all. Great!

Sorted room out, found the TV very very small. Went to pick up lady.

Next morning I went to get some extra milk for disabled lady's first drink, found out all the proper milk was off.

I went to let them know what time we required our Full English Breakfast, which was one of the reasons we booked this hotel as the disabled lady has problems with a continental breakfast. But they said the chef wasn't coming in due to the rain, so no breakfast.

By this time I was thoroughly annoyed with their excuses and we just checked out and got breakfast at the Little Chef on the way home.

A thoroughly disgusting experience, I think this hotel should be closed.

We Stayed Here For An Early Flight From Stansted T

We stayed here for an early flight from Stansted the next morning. I booked this fairly last minute; the room rate was also a deciding factor as it included parking for our weekend away. The booking was made by phone and the person who took my booking was polite and reasonably efficient. I was told that we would be staying in an Executive Double room.

Initial impressions were good. Reception was reasonably efficient.

A nice size room with a decent sized bed. Everything looked new. That is about as far as it went, though.

The quality of the furnishings was awful. We opened the wardrobe door and the shelves, hanging rail and ironing board all fell out. The bed was one of the cheapest - very thin and squishy mattresses!

The TV was of a similar quality - once again, they seem to have gone for the smallest and cheapest they could get hold of.

Underneath the TV was a mini-bar but this was empty and switched off. Next to the TV unit was a trouser press - a wall mounted one, except nobody had bothered to hang it on the wall. It was a similar story in the bathroom - a tiny plastic bath, with cheap taps/shower hose.

We thought we would go and look out the hotel bar, but they don't really have one.

When we returned to turn in, it became apparent that the hotel is fairly close to the flight-path and even with the windows closed, it was pretty noisy.
