Value For Money

Terrible, Rude, Dirty, Worst Value For Money.

Don't be deceived by the website people...

First room

Felt claustrophobic and was draughty. Worth £50 a night! We paid £130!

External door opening to nothing as on second floor; was warped to the point of leaving a gap big enough for a wind to blow through.

We were moved to another room.

Second room

Hot Water was only warm in bathroom – disappointing as the bath was actually a nice size.

Bed – mattress was [presumably] 15 years old, a cheap budget mattress, crushed from however many years of use. If you sat down on the bed too quick you would jar your spine on the divan! Painful.

Only half a valance

No extractor working in the bathroom… Phew!

Décor:

Lamp shades not fixed and kept falling off if you brushed past them.

Ceiling light shades had god knows what in them and so much dust I doubt they have ever been cleaned.

Cheap tacky furniture.

Summary:

The main house may have been nice and authentic (I’ll never know as won’t be coming here ever again). Tthe outbuilding we stayed in was called treetops, funny as we only had a view of the A4 which was about 10m away! Treetops would be fine for £50 a night at a push as is smaller and dirtier than any travel lodge.

The website is very misleading and lures you into thinking you are getting a nice quality Executive room. The truth is the only thing executive about treetops in the price.

We had a noise like an overhead helicopter all through the early hours and got no sympathy, just rude flippant comments from the man on the desk in the morning. I will now be writing to the owners requesting a full refund.

We chose this over a travel lodge to make a nice memorable weekend away. The truth is that a travel lodge would have been cleaner, fully operational and cheaper.

At Rudloe hall you get a basic characterless room for circa 3 times the price of a Travel Lodge or Premier Inn.

Absolute waste of my hard earned cash!

Stay away is my advice.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel!
