To Start With Please Rest Assured That Harbour Hei
To start with please rest assured that harbour heights is not for youngish people. we are 28 and were surrounded only by visitors twice the age at least.
Somehow harbour heights manages to gain positive kudos and good feedback by locals. We did not know how this would be possible.
harbour heights - THE GOOD: the views. fantastic views across poole harbour.
harbour heights -THE BAD:
staff very cold and remote. To be professional one does not need to be like ice.
the furnishing: tourist class hotels and some service station are better furnished. This goes mainly for restaurant.
terrible bar area. small but not even cosy, no selection of drinks, cocktail menu presented on smudgy home printed sheet of paper looking like it is 1999 and clipart just hit the world.
restaurant: fantastic views for sure. They have a stunning terrace and although it was sunny and warm we could not eat outside. Instead you have to eat in ordinary hotel space with low ceilings, no decor, no tablecloth, no atmosphere and no music
food: once you get over the fact that surroundings are very basic, not stylish and your wine menu is again printed on home printer and all smudgy and crushed, the prices indicate high quality food - WRONG! food is just overcomplicated and bad, too salty, to rich, to over the top combinations but without someone probably tasting it. If you sell LOBSTER THERMIDOR you cannot serve in "your special way" unless you tell us. the harbour heights way is: meat not taken of the shell, cooked badly, smothered in burned brown bitter sauce. that is it.
i could not be let down more by harbour heights. avoid all FJB hotels if you can.
