Overpriced, Poor Service, Shabby Nasty Small Rooms
Overpriced, poor service, shabby nasty small rooms, terrible inadequate food.
This is really the worst hotel I have ever been too.
The rooms were poorly decorated uninviting places. With mastic on the walls, mould around the bath, thin paint over the wallpaper and very outdated and basic.
Expensive bill. For the money you are not getting anything back apart from being convieniently close to the beach.
The menu's are limited with very few choice and are very overpriced. The quality and amount of food they served was so poor. We went to the Castle Inn (quite close) for food the night before our stay and the we had 30 main menu choices to choose from. They were a lot cheaper with bigger heartier meals and a lot cheaper. My fathers meal (steak and kidney pie) was simply a microwave meal even retaining the pot shape with a few baby potatoes and 2 sprouts of brocolli for £12.95!!! They even had the cheek to serve it up dry with no gravy.
The service was terrible. Many of the staff felt like they were not bothered by what the customers felt like. They were rude and didnt offer anything at breakfast. We had to ask for everything. First it was orange juice which was the smallest glass ever. Then we asked for tea and coffee which they forgot to give us. When we asked them again they made an excuse that they were busy and ran off so we asked another waitress which was slightly more helpful. They also made alot of noise in the staff flats above us. Slamming doors everywhere, even the front one next to some other guests which gave them a shock, but they just ran off without even apologising. It makes you wonder if they have a high staff turnover or that the hotel owner really doesnt care about thier guests.
Wouldn't recommend to anyone and would strongly advise staying away. Even tell your friends so that they don't risk being frustrated and ripped off.
P.S Do not let the website fool you all the comments are very biased. The pictures do not resemble the true appearance of the rooms when you arrive.

I Thought Lulworth Cove Beach Hotel Was Overpriced
I thought Lulworth Cove Beach Hotel was overpriced, overrated and totally unlike the website description. The room (21) was shabby, dirty and needed redecoration, the breakfasts were mean and cheap and the staff not particularly helpful, wouldn't go back if you paid me.
I Was Disgusted With The Service Of The Beach Hous
I was disgusted with the service of the beach house in Lulworth Cove.
The service was poor the waiter was rude. The owners did not care whether or not their staff provided good service.
When we complained at the lack of service we were told to 'get off the premises' and manhandled by the waiter. The waiter told us he 'would serve us when he was good and ready and we could get out.
We along with two other families who are independent to us left.
I was just about to ring and try to book a few nights for my husband's 50th birthdaym but after reading this review I have changed my mind!

The Minimum Of 2 Nights Stay Is Over The Top, And
The minimum of 2 nights stay is over the top, and the Lulworth Cove Beach Hotel is too expensive for the facilities provided. The restaurant was nice and so were the staff, but some rooms were too small with nowhere to put clothes. The bathrooms were very basic, and the beach restaurant was extremely noisy, and sometimes guests are booked alongside noisy large parties.
