Doncaster, Travelodge

We stayed at the Travelodge in Thorne, Doncaster. Won't do it again, For the price you pay it is not worth it, we only stayed there as it was closest to where our friends lived.

No phone in room so you can't call front desk or anyone else for that matter, no clock in rooms so make sure you take you watch. They charge outrageous amount for internet, use your mobile instead. After a long drive and day we only wanted to relax before sleep, no remote for the very old fashioned tv they had in room, which we can live with, but only had the famous 5!! For those not aware of the famous 5, means only channels from 1-5. Meaning no sky, no cable, no DVD, nowt.

They do ask what time you want breakfast in the morning as they do deliver to your room, they however do not tell you that they leave it outside your door and do not knock on the door to make you aware it is there.

Front desk lady was polite and helpful, but never on the desk whenever you went near it, and you had to keep pressing the buzzer. When we checked out, no one ever did appear on the front desk, so we just left keys in the key drop box. This chain really needs to either upgrade or at the very least teach staff to actually work at the front desk to which they get paid for. This hotel is not worth value for money!!! Pitch a tent some where you get about the same amenities.
