Windermere, Linthwaite House Hotel

The hotel is pleasant although dated in many areas. Some bedrooms have been updated, do ask. The food is nice but the portions are small. We attended a function where the main meat course was terribly undercooked and still bleeding, presented with the smallest portion of veg. Bar prices are astronomical, £14 for 2 bacardi and cokes! There is only the slightest glimpse of lake windermere, blink and you miss it. Overall, good surroundings, pleasant staff but too weak a package to consider returning.
