Would Recommend To Anyone. We Stayed First Week In

Would recommend to anyone. We stayed first week in April 2008. Young older and a bit older all mixed in very well. You cant ask for a better place to stay in the uk. We will be back for more of the home from home welcome without a doubt. Have told many people of how good it was. Considering the short time they have owners have been in the hotel it is a credit to them. All the work decoration repairs etc have been done to the highest standard possible. Cant praise it enough. Words cant explain. Maybe Wordworth would move here if still alive. All the very best to all at Braemount house.

Braemount Housein Windermere: The Cream Tea We Wer

Braemount Housein Windermere: The cream tea we were offered as we were shown up to our room was generous, fresh and welcome - which sums up the whole guest house.

Our suite (for that was what our 'family room' was) was in the very top of the house. The two rooms with a private bathroom were just lovely: beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable and spacious. (see them on the website).

Each room was equipped with a TV, DVD, Video and CD player. A large library of books, films and recordings were available for the guests' use. There was also a Playstation and games in the children's bedroom together with a large box of toys. The room also had lots of brochures and information available as well as tour suggestions (well worth following - we saw places most tourists would miss).

Nothing was too much trouble when it came to the guests' comfort, the owners were very thoughtful, an example: on returning one evening on a particularly hot, windless and muggy day, a large pedestal fan 'magically' appeared (unasked for) in the room. This kind of thoughtful service is rare and very much appreciated.

The breakfast was superb - cereals, well cooked bacon and sausage in generous portions, endless toast and tea provided with a smile and a chat. We all felt more like family than guests. Our daughter's requests for specific variations were complied with happily.

We stayed in a number of hotels and B&B places during our visit to the UK and France and this was undoubtedly the highlight. We were very sad to go.

We cannot praise Braemount House enough - we have recommended it to our friends and relatives - my advice is to book early, this B&B is frequently booked out and rightly so.

Thank you for a great stay.
