All round a poor hotel, ok for builders working in the town. I would not recommend.

We Booked The Ambassadors, Hotel Kensington Throug

We booked the Ambassadors, Hotel Kensington through wotif.com and were quoted a check-in time of 2pm. When we got there it took two people nearly 10 minutes to find our booking. Apparently, because we had only booked it that morning it was more difficult to track it down. Then they said we couldn't check-in until 3pm. Their English wasn't the best, so this is only my interpretation of what they said.

So we left our bags at reception and wandered off to the Natural History Museum for a couple of hours.

When we returned we checked in and caught the lift to our floor. This took some time as the English don't have what I would call the latest technology when it comes to lifts and aircon etc.

Anyway, we finally go to our room and it was very small, very tasteless, and not dirty but not clean (if that makes sense!?). The sort of place you could get used to, but you hope you never have to. The view was of the roof of neighbouring buildings, but at £50 for a double room for the night, it was pretty good value.

Breakfast was included too, but it wasn't really worth mentioning. However, if you consider it to be free, then it was a reasonable start to the day.
