Shaldon - The Ness

A very disappointing stay at The Ness in Shaldon just opposite Teignmouth. Whilst the hotel has a great view, the rooms we had been allocated had a restricted view and a view of the car park, not quite what you expect when you are paying over £130 for a double room.

Cleanliness was a bit of a problem in the rooms with the daily clean being done half heartedly and things still dirty or grubby each evening als maintenance was another issue as bulbs were not working.

The walk from the outbuilding at the back was also unexpected and you pass the back of the kitchens where all the staff come to smoke.

Food was good, however breakfast was a let down with the service being terrible (75 minutes on average) and the quality of the sausages was ghastly. Whilst the view was fantastic looking out over the town its not a place I would ever be going back to.
