On arrival the building is a little tired looking but clean and fresh inside. There are a few things that need attention but it does not detract from the views and facilities. The views are stunning and nothing too much trouble for the staff. Good night's sleep, great bathroom (with no sticky bars of soap), plenty of hot water and towels. No problems with parking because there is a car park outside with free parking for Hotel patrons. Ideal situation for all of Plymouth and with no noise problems. Came away from it feeling very refreshed.

Tired And Dirty
We arrived on the 18th July 2011,the first room we were given was extremely small with not enough hanging space in the wardrobe for 2 people for a week, also the bed was classed as a double but there is only enough room for one person. We were moved to another room which was larger but there was mold growing on the tiles in the bathroom, bathroom door was rotting at the bottom and the carpet was thread bare in places. The dinning room looked like a Victorian classroom with wood floors, hard wooden chairs and tables, the only good thing was the view. I went to get a drink from the bar at4-30pm only to be told it did not open until 5pm and closed at 11pm.
On returning home I complained to the hotel and the managers reply was and I quote (We recognize that the property is tired in comparison to to other of our competitor hotels in the City and we have tried to price our rates accordingly) As far as I am concerned any charge would be to much to pay at this rundown hotel.
Arrived At The Quality Hotel, Plymouth, At The Spe
Arrived at the Quality Hotel, Plymouth, at the specified time, staff somewhat lacadasical, found the room was not ready (and could not be advised when it would be available) so was offered another room(not the standard booked) and found the view from the window was not a sea view but builders scaffolding as far as the eye could see. Asked for an alternative but told there was a wedding on so the assigned alternative room was the only one available.
AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!
Have just had the unfortunate experience of 6 days stay at the above hotel, your comment of avoiding it like the plague could not be more fitting.
