We recently went to the Duke of Cornwall for a cousins wedding reception and was most impressed with the service we got. All of Tony's family from the south west attended and there was more then enough room. The reception itself went very smoothly with the Duke putting on a nice spread of food. Even the weather held out, which for Plymouth is a small miracle itself. Our thanks to the Duke of Cornwall and its staff for helping Tony and Jane get the perfect start to their marriage. Dom.

What a fantastic hotel! We stayed at the Duke of Cornwall for my sisters wedding and were very impressed with what we received for the money. A lovely clean room with one of the comfiest bed I have ever slept in! The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we return to Plymouth in May we will be definitely be staying at the Duke of Cornwall. :)

We stayed at the Duke of Cornwall when we visited Plymouth in January of this year. We were very impressed with the hotel, staff and quality of service. The rooms where immaculately clean and provided us with comfortable nights sleep. We enjoyed the breakfast and thought that the dinner was also money well spent. The only quibble that we had was with the shower that lacked a bit of power. Aside form this minor issue we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the Duke of Cornwall.

We loved staying at the Duke of Cornwall hotel! The location was ideal for what we wanted, allowing us easy access to both the town and historic areas of Plymouth. The food was fantastic; we really couldn't knock it for quality or value. The service again was of a very good standard. To be honest we found it very hard to find fault with this hotel, perhaps the room could have been a tad bigger but in reality it was fine. 5 stars!!!!

I stayed at the Duke of Cornwall for two nights recently whilst visiting family in Plymouth. I was especially impressed by the service, the staff are calm and professional, and still have a friendly smile even when they are rushed off their feet. The room I stayed in was nicely furnished and immaculately clean. The Duke has a varied restaurant menu, mainly using local produce and I had the sea bass, which was sensational. If I had to pick one fault, I would say that the shower in my en-suite bathroom wasn't very powerful...but I'm clutching at straws now :) All in all I think I received a very good service far exceeding what you would expect from a 3 star hotel.
