St Ives, Carbis Bay Hotel

Carbis Bay Hotel is situated in the most divine setting. The hotel staff are very helpful, the food good, excellent wines, comfortable beds and well-fitted bathroom. Just one thing should be brought to the attention of elderly and disabled guests is that there is NO LIFT.

With regard to our booking with Late Bookings, there was a discrepancy between what Late Bookings stated and what was actually available. Late Bookings had stated that our room would have a 'side' view of the sea but the room allocated had no view whatsoever, was a very small room and had a normal size double bed - not even Queen size. However the hotel offered us an alternative room and did not charge extra - though they said it was of a higher value category.

Despite all of this we enjoyed our stay very much indeed.
