Torremolinos Hotel Las Palomas

On approach to the hotel I was not impressed with the location, as I felt it was in the middle of nowhere. However on exploring, I found that it was a 5 minute walk to the beach, and a 10 minute walk to the centre of Torremolinos.

The hotel was very clean, with room cleaning and towel change 7 days a week. The pool is a good size and is clean, as is the pool area, however it was a nightmare to get a sunbed at the side of the pool, as people found one they liked and left their towels on them 24hrs a day for the full duration of their stay. The poolside bar did not serve snacks for those who were not on full board basis, however there is a great little british pub 'The Mermaid', literally a 3 minute walk away, which does beautiful british food at great prices - the drinks there are also cheap! The staff at the Mermaid make you feel very welcome.

The entertainment at he hotel was not the best entertainment, with nightly entertainment starting at 10.30pm. However as the hotel is on the main road, you are only a short bus/taxi (bus costing 1 Euro and taxi approx. 6-8 Euros) journey away from Benalmadena, which is full of great pubs. I did enjoy my holiday in the costa del sol, and I am thinking of going back in 2006, however I would go to Benalmadena.
