Really, There Are Some Dreadfully Pessimistic Peop

Really, there are some dreadfully pessimistic people about! This hotel is very very cheap. In return you get glorious architecture, a very, very clean environment, reasonable evening entertainment. I'm not over keen on the food, but I don't starve. Yes, it's on a busy road. We always hire a car so this doesn't bother us but there are ways to walk to San Pedro through the back streets and you could of course get a bus. Off season the bars around it are sometimes closed but in season if you GET UP and EXPLORE A BIT then you will find plenty of bars and restuarants. It's true, it's not in the centre of a town, but really, you can't get everything for the price. The bar staff can be a bit unfriendly but seriously - can't you just ignore them?

We went in October and for around £250 each had a wonderful relaxing week. You get what you pay for and Cortijo Blanco delivers everything you need in a very beautiful spot.

Cortijo Blanco Hotel Is Not For The Faint Hearted

Cortijo Blanco Hotel is not for the faint hearted as I had to walk great distances for window shopping or the odd coffee. I will not ever return.

You have to walk great distances to any where. There's a main four lane road out side the front door of the Cortijo Blanco Hotel, and it's noisy.

You have to walk about 3 miles to San Pedro and same distance to beach and there very little to do. There There very little in the way of shops. For example if you were to visit Porto Banus you have to walk approx 3 mile to San Pedro get bus to Porto banus.

The return journey is the same a walk back to hotel

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with walking difficulties.

Well Here's My Experience Anyway. My Boyfrien

Well here's my experience anyway. My boyfriend and I( both 19) wanted a last minute relaxing week's break in Spain and after searching for hours I found this one, the Cortijo Blanco Hotel in San Pedro. The reviews scared me no end! but I have to say I thought. 'Its £390 each for a week's all inclusive in the height of Spanish summer, who cares?'. Hotel : When the rep signalled that this was our stop I was a bit shocked, I hadn't expected something so beautiful or well kept. The gardens were absolutely flourishing in the 30 degree heat and the little traditional Spanish building was a lovely change to the usual concrete blocks you might find in Benidorm. One little thing which did cause a problem was the reception area, it is really small for the amount of people arriving for check in at the same time, in saying this though the staff speak good English and showed us on a map how to reach our room (the complex is large!!!!). The room : Have to say it was very basic but exactly what you are looking for when you'll spend your days at the beach and sightseeing. We came home every night to get showered and to sleep and it was adequate. However, there was no air con! But you can pay extra for this at reception if you feel you need it, most of the time though we left our doors open when we were in the room and this was fine. The room was always immaculately cleaned, clean sheets and towels every day. You never saw the cleaners, although if you were not up before 9am you certainly heard them, but this added to the charm of the place I thought. We left them a nice tip because they really were very respectful, if we hung our "Asleep" sign on the door, they came back later in the day to attend to the room. The rest: Food was basic, lots of the same over the week but there are plenty of choices. During the day I found it very hard to eat anything as I was so warm. This is when the free ice cream and constant delicious drinks came in handy! The bar staff knew my order by the third day of the holiday and were lovely! Could not have stayed in the complex most nights if they had not been so funny. The local area is quite quiet, nearby Puerto Banus and Marbella are worth a trip! but a little overrated. The San Pedro beach is gorgeous! But you have to walk along quite a bit until you see the soft golden sands. All in all, a very relaxing holiday. My money was well spent = a tan, nice memories, quality time with my boyfriend, beautiful views!. Please don't listen to the bad reviews!!!

I Would Not Choose The Cortijo Blanco Hotel Again,

I would not choose the Cortijo Blanco Hotel again, we found it unfriendly. Our rooms were facing a bush with nothing to look at, other guests had the pool views.

Read These Comments About The Area Of Cortijo Blan

Read these comments about the area of Cortijo Blanco. We live about 200 metres from the hotel, in defense of Cortijo, Bars available, The Olive Tree, The Emerald Bar, Buddy's Bar - full menu available, Bar Cheers. Restaurants available Chinese, Inigo Blue, Raffas, Pepe Largos, Kula Kula (on the beach unbelievable views) Bel Mare (Italian), Neuva Reina - excellent fish food. The beach is about 750 metres from the hotel, it has a large promenade with places to eat for about 2kms. In our opinion many of the tourists who stay at the Cortijo want to take full advantage of the all inclusive and don't venture outside to what is a very friendly village type area.

Immediately On Arrival At Cortijo Blanco Hotel My

Immediately on arrival at Cortijo Blanco Hotel my wife and I were told we would have to wait for our rooms. After about an hour we found out the guests that were supposed to vacate our room, were in fact going to stay in the room as they had a late flight. we arrived around mid-day in the boiling hot sun (wearing jeans and jumpers) and only received our room at 7pm. when we got inside the room we were upset to find we had no air conditioning as the brochure had specified it as standard. The hotel was made up of 3 courtyard type areas, with a swimming pool in each. The main area also had the bar and stage where the evenings entertainment was held. Unfortunately the hotel was full up and in the evening it was virtually impossible to find a table let alone a seat to watch the show. After about 2 nights we gave up and tried to find alternative activities. The hotel was situated on the main road between Marbella and San Pedro. Outside the hotel grounds we found 2 bars and 1 pizza restaurant. There were a couple of gift shops but as it was a very quiet area they were mostly shut. The beach was about a mile down the road but was very quiet and had no tourist attractions. We found a really good excursion company that offered a different trip every day. Had it not have been for these trips we would probably have come home early. They offered all sorts of trips including shopping in Gibralter, shopping at the flea market, trips to local beauty spots, water parks and lots more. The trips were very affordable and they also offered a money exchange. We took a taxi out on 3 occasions to go to Peurto Banus and Marbella. We found these places quite boring as it was very much like England. Obviously it was hotter but all we found to do was look in expensive shops and drink in bars. We found hardly anyone spoke much English and it was quite easy to get lost. We enjoy going on holiday at least twice a year and was hoping to have as much fun as on some of our previous trips. The Spain we saw was quiet and had very little to offer. We are not the kind of people to sunbathe all day and like to do things like shopping, renting scooters, playing sports, extreme rides, windsurfing, parasailing and all the other fun things you would expect to find in Spain or the Spanish isles. All in all I would not recommend this hotel or area in Spain.
