Villa Flamenca: Had A Great Time
We were very happy with our stay here. Very clean rooms and hotel in general is good. Staff all helpful and we enjoyed the food. I see that some people have suggested that the decor is a bit dated and to an extent this is true, however, it maintains a Spanish style and does not claim to be an ultra modern hotel!
For us the best test of satisfaction is would we go back and to this we say a definite YES!
Thank you to all at the Villa Flamenca - (cleaners, Dinning room staff, Bar staff, front desk staff and all who work away quietly unseen to make this a lovely place to relax.

Excellent Value. Hotel Stuck Is Somewhat In A Time Warp
For pure value this hotel will be hard to beat, For a 3 star hotel the food was well above average and the meat was cooked to perfection. The vegetables however were poor. Breakfast was first rate.Tthe staff generally were helpful and welcoming. The hotel's décor was stuck in a time warp and was in need of of refurbishment. The rooms were clean but small with a TV but no hair dryer. The bar was very reasonably prices and there was live entertainment 5 nights a week which was a more than acceptable standard. The hotel was located in quiet residential area 6 minutes walk downhill to the beach and a 15 minute stroll to the old town. There was a Spar supermarket 2 minutes walk away.It definitely more suited to couples than families. We found everyone here to be very friendly with guests mainly from the UK. If you are looking for a base in Nerja and want a good budget accommodation then we can certainly recommend the Villa Flamenca Hotel. If you wanted to pop out for a drink in the evening try Potters Bar which is nearly opposite but down a side road. Very Sociable here.

Good Value Clean And Friendly
I am normally a bit of a snob if you like when it comes to going on hols abroad. Though this time (Sept 2011) me and the Mrs had a wee 4 night break from the kids. Wasnt expecting too much has we just wanted a break. Hotel was very clean, freindly and conveniently positioned. Food ok, and half decent choice. The ideal base if you are on a budget yet dont want to rought it. Nerja itself is superb. Tons of wee bars and restaurants, really chilled, and decent prices. If you are staying at the Villa Flamenca and a bit of a beach person be warned, ok for the young or able, but if you struggle to get about the beach has quite a steep hill to negotiate. 10 mins walk downward to the beach itself but a hike and half return. Approx 15 mins journey back but 80% uphill.
I would def return.
