Calella, Balmes Hotel Calella

Overall quite a good hotel considering the price we paid. Rooms were clean, food average. The dining room didn't seem to have enough tables for guests and we were often hanging around whilst staff cleared tables. The en suite bathroom had an air vent and we could hear the guests talking / showering in the next room. Another criticism would be the location - the hotel was located in the back of beyond. Aroung 30 mins walk to the town / beach. The real downside for me was the fact that the staff spoke little or no english. When we booked in it was a series of hand signs in order to communicate. Again, the dining room / bar staff's English was very limited. That said, I would go back to Balmes Hotel Calella as the holiday was value for money.
