Hotel Apsis BCN Events, Barcelona

Went to the Apsis BCN events hotel on a last minute holiday deal to Barcelona.

This hotel certainly deserves its 4 star rating. It is a beautifully furnished hotel from the rooms, corridors to the toilets, all very nicely decorated and modern.

Has a nice large pool and a smaller pool and plenty of sun beds and sunbathing areas.

The room itself was plenty big enough for the two of us, with a double bed (two twins together) didn't really make much difference though, a wardrobe with shelfs and a safe, mini bar, sofa, dressing area with mirrors and hairdryer and bathroom.

The maids cleaned the room everyday and were very pleasant.

We couldn't figure out how to use the air con on arrival so decided the pool was the best bet instead of trying to unpack but the maid has activated it for us by the next day which was brilliant as it made such a difference.

The hotel itself is not really near anything else, it does have a supermarket and a shopping centre near by but the 'touristy' area is further down the road near the beach, which because of the main roads you couldn't walk there yourself had to get a taxi but wasn't too expensive ranging from €6-9.

Barcelona though is a must place to visit we did go into the centre on one day and its just an amazing place and id definitely recommend staying at this hotel, its admittedly more of a business hotel than it is a holiday one but there were plenty of other holidaymakers staying there and just getting the train into barcelona and if you want the sunbathing and pool holiday too you cannot go wrong with this hotel.
