All Inclusive Stay At Hotel Villa De Adeje Beach
Firstly, we have never booked an all inclusive 'sun' holiday so this was a new thing for us!! Having booked through onthebeach.co.uk and reading opther reviews we were a little apprehensive as to what a *** hotel would entail. We were not disapointed! On arrival we were greeted and went straight to our apartment, which was massive! Two single beds in a large bedroom with wardrobes/side tables, a kitchenette (no kettle however!), a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a living room with a television (1 euro to access channels, however the news was in english anyway and none of the extra channels appeared to be so we didn't use it). Both the bedroom and the lounge had glass doors which opened onto a balcony overlooking the pools and had a lovely view of the sea.... bonus!
Food: The food at the hotel was served 8-10, 1-2.30 and 6.30-9. I have to say the food was fairly similar each day (usually a choice of pork/beef/chicken/fish) served with paella, chips, potatoes, veg and an extensive salad bar but we managed to have a different meal each day and the food was really good. Breakfast was fruit/yoghurts/toast/cereals/cheese/meats or full english which we were also impressed with. Sangria, wine, beer and soft dirnks were served at meals along with bottled water. On top of this there were cheeseburgers/pizza/hotdogs and ice cream available from the pool bar between 10-6 (food wasn't great quaility but sufficient as a snack as they cook it all on table top grills to order).
Alcohol: There was a range of beers, spirits, wine, soft drinks available from 10am-11pm ! We did find that the actual alcohol content must be quite low as we did drink most of the day, every day and although we never got drunk at the resort, it was refreshing and actually meant we spent more time doing things. The bar staff were also really friendly and would mix drinks to order (ie, i drank alot of malibu, vodka and pineapple juice as a pina colda alternative!).
Entertainment: The entertainment was definately family friendly, although there were us and several other couples there who enjoyed it just as much. Throughout the week there were snake acts, birds of prey, acrobats, a magician and kareoke .... as well as hotel run entertainment such as bingo and quizzes. The prizes left a lot to be desired and they asked 1 euro per game but it was good fun and kept the evenings flowing until the all inclusive stopped! The pools were a bit chilly despite the high temperatures but were a welcome break from the sun and it was really nice relaxing around them (2 large pools and one for kids). There was also entertainment around the pools e.g. volleyball, fashion show, quizzes.
Local area: The beach was about 15 minutes walk from the hotel (downhill there, a long way uphill back but worth the walk ). We went to several local bars as well during the day and at night, the rumpot nextdoor has live entertainment and kareoke each night (and give away a bottle of spirits!) and there was an irish bar further down with entertaintment, cocktails, and kareoke until 5am! There are lots of places to eat both near the hotel and down on the beach but we didn't need to try any of them due to the all inclusive meals at the hotel. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel to go to los christianos/las americas and a Siam Park free bus stop at the hotel entrance which is a must .... a brilliant day out for adults and kids! We bought tickets at the hotel desk and this meant we were fast tracked through the queue when we got to Siam Park.
All in all a brilliant 7 day holiday in October .... 26-30 degrees throughout and will definately look at booking again.
