Puerto Del Carmen, Sol Morromar Apartments

Sol Morromor hotel was ideal for family's who want a cheap holiday close to the beach, it was good value for the price you have to pay but i was disappointed overall.. the staff were unpleasent and unwelcoming and the service at the bar was shocking when there was a cue of people, the staff found it more appropriate to put away dishes thean serve.. the food was disgraceful and how they dignify it is appauling, it was tasteless and often repetitive and mostly served lukewarm. The wind at night kept us awake till the early hours because it felt like someone was breaking in.. on the plus sisde there was enterntainment for children and entertainment at night, the pool was a good size and clean most of the time.

Have just returned from this hotel, it was excellent value for money.Food was good the chef in particular cooked everything very well.The place was spotless, entertainment was good when on, which was regular.The drinks were as good as 4 stars we have stayed in, we were A/I.Only critisisme the pool was freezing probably o.k in summer. Weather was brilliant so all in an excellent holiday.We were a retired well travelled couple.

Sol Morromar Apartments are nice and quiet, has two pools and is cleaned daily. It is near the airport, so there's no need to pay for tranfers. A taxi is only 4-5 euros to main drag. But at the same time this means you are a bit away from the main drag too. Matagorda centre plenty of restaurants bars, two supermarkets, on the way to beach which is five minutes away. Visited May/Oct 06. Didn't eat on site.
