Puerto Del Carmen, Lomo Blanco Apartments

asked for a quiet room, this meant hidden behind a tree,

there were far quieter than that,

tip, get a top room, as anyone above throws any sound into the lower rooms,the views better upstairs anyway,,

2days in an entire male rugby team came, took over the pool for a day regardless of the kids and sunbathers , swearing and water everywhere,

the staff did NOTHING and left them in the pool way after closing, result, no sunbathing and around 10 upset kids who darnt use the pool, next day the team were much better and were fine, but thanks to one of the players who had family at home and realised,

not the staff who did not seem to care

i realise this may be the booking agents fault but it wasnt good the way it wasnt dealt with,

good points,

great pool, clean apps and great location,i have used around 6 apartments over the years in lanzarote, and these were better than most,

the little turkish waiter in particular was very helpful,

despite the above with the rugby lads (which must be a one off really)i will use this place again, ill book a top sea view app and relax....

Just back from Lomo Blanco Apartments.

Initial thoughts were good, clean, nice reception area, nice bar and entertainment was in full swing when we arrived.

The rooms are nice, the apartment blocks in the main area are all 2 storey and offer a good level of privacy if you're on the upper level, you get a good sized balcony and steps directly down to the pool area. Lower floor apartments are straight out to the pool area which again is a good layout.

I can see that there is a lot of work underway sprucing the place up so its probably a good time to go as I suspect when the place is fully done up the price will rise.

The pool was nice, not cold at all although the temperatures when we were there was 40+ degrees so if it was cold we wouldn't have noticed.

The evening entertainment was good and catered for all nationalities althought primarily English, Jim and team did a great job of keeping us entertained and topped up with alcohol.

The food is good, theres snacks at the poolbar and a very good restaurant, although w didn't eat there as we like to go out on a night I saw the food and it looked top notch.

Theres also a games room, internet access (paid), wifi and the hotel is in a very good location although if you have difficulty walking getting down to the beach may be a bit of a struggle as it involves walking down around 75 steps.

The one bad thing about this hotel is that there is no air con. At the time we went the temperatures were ridiculously hot and it was almost unbearable. If I was going again in August I'd consider a hotel with air con. If the temperature is around 30 degrees then I think it would be ok to go back to Lomo Blanco.

There were 6 of us that went and we all agreed that we would come back to Lomo Blanco, it is a small hotel geared towards families.

Ive marked it down 1 star for having no aircon and charging £15 for a fan for a week.
