Macher - Villa Canto

We visited Villa Canto in Sept 2008 for our honeymoon.

We were alone for the first week and then joined by friends for week 2.

It is a fabulous villa in a quiet location in Macher. This villa has 5 bedrooms, all spacious and airy, lovely terraces, a huge garden and a massive L shaped pool with a table and chairs in one corner of it! There are lots of sun terraces and plenty of sunbeds provided.

The garden is lush with lemon trees and herbs. There is even a football table game on one terrace.

The beds are comfortable and the bath and shower rooms large with good pressure and hot water.

The kitchen is lovely and fitted to a high standard. There are plenty of pots and pans and glasses and plates. The dishwasher means no washing up!

Outside is a huge built-in BBQ with a drinks fridge and large outdoor table which is covered where we spent many evenings.

There is a television in the main living area with Sky TV. There is also a stereo. Lots of bookcases with plenty of books if you forget to take your own or would prefer to take more clothes for your luggage allowance!

The 'old town' is a pleasant walk down the hill (around 2.5 miles). Plenty to see on the way down and wonderful sea views. Taxi back up is around 6 euros.

We loved it here so much, we have booked to come again in September this year with friends and my parents. Can't wait! The photo's don't do it justice at all and I would highly recommend this villa. Patrick was fab too and very discrete when coming to tend t the garden and pool.
