The Sands Beach Villas Resort Is Close To Buses. G
The Sands Beach Villas Resort is close to buses. Good views. Spacious rooms. Pool was cleaned out every day. We didn't use the restaurant but we did find some lovely bars a short walk away. Toilet kept getting blocked, they sorted it out twice but didn't seem too bothered about it. Shop was supposed to be opened every day for several hours, but it only opened for one hour if you were lucky. I would go back to Costa Teguise again but I would stay at a different hotel or apartment.

Myself, My Wife And 2 Sons And Their Girlfriends A
Myself, my wife and 2 sons and their girlfriends are just back and can only say good things about the Sand Beach hotel. The accomodations were excellent, good space in the living room, bathroom and bedroom, staff were very helpful. The only bad thing i can say is the weather could have been a little bit better as it rained on the tue, weds and the thurs we were going home, other than that no bad points. We would recommend the Sand Beach hotel to our friends. We all enjoyed our time at the hotel.

It Is A Modern Resort And Complex, Although It Is
It is a modern resort and complex, although it is right at the end of Costa Teguise and it is a good 10 min walk into town, but if you like that, then you will enjoy it. Luxurious, well-equipped villas and friendly staff means I would definitely come back. The only criticism I would have is it may be too spread out and everyone is almost too independant and you don't get the opportunity to chat or mix with others for company. However, as I said I'd certainly go back.

We Had A Great Stay On 21th February 2008, We Took
We had a great stay on 21th February 2008, we took our 2 and 3 yr old sons, the kitchen had your basic tools, lots of room and the cleaners where very good cleaning the villa almost every day but we always had clean towels. The rest of the resort is brilliant for peace of mind when you go with children, we always saw a security guard walking around the resort. The private beach is great and mind sons could of spend the whole day there. The water is shallow. The children's entertainment was brilliant, very energetic team and they were fun to watch. I will definitely go back again because is in a point where is not far from anything and its away from all the noise its great!

These Two Villas At The Sand Beach Resort Are Next
These two villas at the Sand Beach Resort are next door to each other and have the potential to provide a good holiday. Some of the following comments only apply to one or other of the villas, some apply to both.
First, the negative aspects. Unfortunately all the little things, that actually add up to quite a lot, were missing and that made a huge difference. The properties were described as brand new and the photo shows uninterrupted views of the mountains. However, the villas were built 7 years ago and there's a big estate there now instead! The pool furniture must have been at least 15 years old and most of the sunbeds were broken. The pool itself wasn't terribly clean and, despite being advertised as heated, was cold. The areas around the pool, which were actually quite nice, are not cleaned so as soon as you step onto the tiles with wet feet it turns to mud, which is lovely! In one of the villas the doors from the main bedroom to the balcony were broken and could not be opened, apparently they've been like this for at least a year. One of the villas had a welcome pack, the other did not. There was no soap provided, the shower hoses were on their last legs, there were plates and cutlery missing, the tin opener and corkscrew were broken. Neither villa had a bin, your rubbish had to go in plastic bags hung on the back of the door etc.
The lady we booked through also quoted one price and then tried to charge us extra when it came to pay the balance. Then she insisted on a bank transfer in Euros, even though the deposit was paid by UK cheque, which cost an extra £25. We then realised that on her own website she was charging less than via Owners Direct.
Both the villas have a comments book, although you can see where the owners have ripped out all the comments they didn't like, which doesn't exactly encourage you to leave some constructive comments.
Now the positives, the beds were very comfortable and the main bedroom had a king size. Although all the furniture was from IKEA (yes Lanzarote has one), it presented well visually and one of the villas had a very nice kitchen, unfortunately the other one was falling apart. The soft furnishings were generally good, there were quality ceiling fans and plenty of pictures on the wall. There were also various books and DVDs which was useful. The location is very quiet and peaceful, until they start on the building site 100m away.
