Puerto Rico, Gloria Palace Amardores Hotel

Having arrived back from the Gloria Palace for the 3rd time we highly recommend this hotel. Having booked through our local travel agent we requested a room in block 2 floor 4 (Which we got)overlooking the sea and pool.Also on this floor was the second pool which was the quietest of the two.The food is excellent with a microwave to use whenever needed.The rooms are acceptable with a few minor faults.We use to go to Puerto Rico for a drink in the evening and it took us about 20mins to walk there and got a taxi home for 4 euros.

Extremely disappointed. We had looked at the hotel on a previous occasion and thought it looked really lovely and that we would have a great 2 weeks much needed holiday. Couldn't sleep because of the volume of the noise coming from the bar which is located just below the reception. We asked to be moved to a quieter room and had to wait a week. We spoke to the holiday rep about the cleanliness of the room and she didn't even get in touch to see if we have got it sorted out. Thank goodness the new room was cleaner. In the first room there were dirty sticky finger marks all over the units and walls. Gouges out of the walls, stains on the carpet and on the bedclothes. The floor in the bathroom and toilet smelt of urine. There were dirty, sticky remains on the units and table. Why on earth would anyone pay to stay in a room like that when they wouldn't have it at home.

We were so disappointed that we would have got the next plane home if possible.

I found this holiday on the web,what good luck to find such a lovely and friendly hotel as the Amardores Gloria Palace.

This hotel was cleaned from morning to night,all the rooms had air/con,plenty of sun beds for everybody[inc the Germans],food very nice plenty of choice.Easy access to Puerto Rico[5 minuet walk]fantastic beach at Amardores[5 minutes walk].

This was a great hotel and holiday.
