Playa del Ingles Los Salmones Apartments

I stayed here for one night only due to it's proximity to the airport and was very glad it wasn't for longer. I knew it was a cheap two star hotel as budget was my driving force I decided to take a chance. I wasn't surprised with what I got:

Very, very basic hotel for a cheap price and I found the building my apartment kind of depressing. The bathroom windows facing inward to the circle shaped hallway and they all had bars. Reminded me of prison baracks from the hallways rather than a holiday hotel.

Apartment was somewhat clean but left me not wanting to spend any time in it because it simply wasn't that inviting.

The worst part about this Hotel was the noise. I didn't go to bed until well after midnight but the walls were so thin I heard a none stop racket all night long from other guests, who obviously couldn't give a rip about their neighbours. If booze, shouting and lack of common courtesy is your thing then this is your place to stay. Just not my kind of place I guess.

Early morning wake up call consists of someone coming and knocking on your door very loudly, which I assume wakes up everyone else in your block. Ah well. What goes around comes around.

One was very friendly and helpful. The other was grumpy and a bit rude.

I had a rental car and finding the hotel, even using Google Maps, was very difficult as the hotel is set back a long way from the road, on a side street. No parking is available on property and free parking is hard to find as most of the nearby streets are pay and display.

The pool area looked fine but I didn't try it. The rest of the place looked just OK..

Cheap 2 star hotel. You get what you pay for and I definitely wouldn't return. No way at all.

Young and lively hotel, we were on an 18-30's holiday and found the Los Salmones Apartments an excellent base. It's basic accomodation but clean and tidy.

The pool had a great atmosphere and everyone got to know everybody else throughout the week. Reps were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to any young party goers not wanting to pay a fortune but wanting decent accomodation.

The towels at Los Salmones Apartments in Gran Canaria were only changed twice a week. The sheets were only changed on day 11, after having to ask. Self catering facilities were very basic and not very clean. There were also a lot of broken and chipped tiles in the apartment.
