The Buenos Aires Apartments Sit Right Next To The

The Buenos Aires apartments sit right next to the Yumbo centre about mile (1k) from the beach in Playa Del Ingles. They have been fairly recently renovated and are well spec'ed. The building is curved with all apartments' balconies overlooking the pool. There is a Hard Rock Caf in the basement of the hotel. This was brand new when we arrived, and we spent New Year there. It's OK, but needs time to bed in, as the service was a bit slow. However, the fears of noise in the apartments at night was unfounded, as it's well soundproofed, and we heard nothing from the venue whilst we were there.

We had two 1 bed apartments which were mirror images of each other, and the other apartments appeared to be similar. Entering the apartment the first room was the bedroom with twin beds, separated by a night table, a dressing table and a built-in wardrobe. Compact, but not small and very comfortable. Next was the bathroom which was well laid out and of a good standard. Further in the rest of the apartment was the living/kitchen. Large sofa on one side, chair and a cabinet with TV on the other side. The kitchen had all that was required and more, including kettle, microwave, fridge and hob etc. All were in very good condition and cleaned daily.

The pool is clean, but small for the size of the block. The area around the pool is nicely laid out with sun beds packed fairly closely together. It's a real wind break and sun trap, the temperature being a good 2 or 3 degrees higher here than outside the front of the hotel. This was great in December/January, but in the height of summer it could be a bit stifling, especially as the pool would struggle to cope with everybody in it at the same time.

This is a great place to stay to be in the thick of it without being troubled by late night noise. We would stay here again, but probably not in the high summer season due to the pool size. That said, we had a great time, and sun bathing and a dip in the pool was a perfect New Year's Day hangover cure.
