On arrival at the Reception, we were faced with a long wait to check in as only one person was on duty and no one appeared to speak very good English.

Our apartment was still being cleaned when we arrived, which is acceptable but when we eventually got inside, the bedroom and bathroom were full of live mosquitoes and other insect life. Goodness knows what it was like before, if this was the standard immediately after it was cleaned.

The bedroom in particular was a disgrace, there were at least sixty squashed mosquitoes on the bedroom walls alone and no effort had been made to clean them.

The beds were very uncomfortable and we had great difficulty in sleeping.

We could not open the bedroom windows at night as the apartment backed onto a main road, with a building site directly across.

As there also was no air conditioning or even a fan, this made it even more difficult to sleep.

The fridge was unable to keep milk cool for more than a day and had to be cleaned before we could use it.

Plug socket detached from wall, so we could not use it.

Breakfast bar had a build up of dirt and grime, it had never been cleaned for months by the look of it.

Sofa / bed was filthy and there were no sheets for it, thankfully there were only the two of us, so none extra were required.

The maid mopped the floor with a dirty mop and no water, when I asked her where the water was, she only shook her head to say she did not understand.

No clean towels issued all week. If we left dirty towels on the floor, they were simply picked up off dirty floor and re-hung, I had to constantly go to reception along with others from the resort, to have them changed.

No clean sheets were issued during the week we were there.

Toilet was filthy and the bath had a build up of rust and dirt.

No running water on several occasions.

Some of the swimming pool and sunbathing areas were utterly filthy and disgraceful even early in the morning around 10am and there were dozens of cigarette ends and spat out sweets from the previous day or perhaps the previous week for all we know. The pool at the Sol part of the resort was filthy, with a scum mark all the way around.

One family complained of a dead cat outside their apartment but Reception took no action.

The rep was more interested in selling excursions rather than dealing with complaints and wasn't always there at his designated times.
