We Were On Holiday For A Week Last April In Soller

We were on holiday for a week last April in Soller. For the last five years, we have spent our holidays in this town, but for first time we decided to go Ca's Sant.

Finding the hotel wasn't really easy, because, although they are a finca, they are situated only 500 meters from the city center. The streets in Soller are really narrow (please don't forget to rent an small car!!).

From the moment we entered, we were overwhelmed by the sensation of peace and calmness. The hotel was full, but you couldn't see any guests, we thought we were the only ones! This is probably why a large number of famous people have chosen to spend their holidays here all the rooms have direct entry from outside, offering fantastic independence.

We were in one of the junior suites with garden views near the main house. We have to say that the photos of the garden that we saw on the web site don't even begin to show how beautiful the garden really is, particularly the magnificent Magnolia, which covers almost half a swimming pool.

The room was very spacious, with lots of light and with all the facilities that we needed, Minibar, Water heater, tes, coffees, safe..etc. They also have WiFi conection on the terrace of the room.

Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 12 o'clock. Instead of a buffet, everything is taken to your table, which is much comfortable as you do not need to get up. I have never had a breakfast like this, 4 different kinds of bread, just pressed orange juice, cheese, jam, pa amb oli, fresh fruit, eggs, ensaimadas and the marvelous orange marmalade, elaborated from a secret familiar recipe.

In the hotel they don't have a restaurant open to the public, but they serve dinner on request. I can only describe the kitchen like a traditional Majorcan kitchen, so difficult to find at present. The quality of this kitchen is so impressive, that they have a book published with the family's recipes.

Another thing that surprised me is that most of the guests come every year, and some of the them twice (spring and autumn!) which gives the place a special atmosphere. We can understand why because the family is so very kind and welcoming.

Overall, we had a marvelous holiday, and we are already thinking about our next visit there next year.
