Gran Playa Annexe
The review page suggests we go into plenty of detail when reviewing . I cant,it will take to long I can only describe my view as shocking, I was shocked. internally dirty, broken lights, curtains hanging off the rails rusty bath broken enamel in bath (I feared Legonaires) no hot water exposed electric wires
externally filty, grubby, pool looked slimy, stains on the stairs and walls think poor housing estate. 1950s Good grief!
After much arguing with dissinterested staff we were finally given an apartment in the main hotel which although not wonderful was considerably better and we enjoyed the rest of the stay. Do not allow yourself to be put in the annexe/overflow around the corner
Annexe should be condemmed
Operators should advise people they could be put into the annexe and not the main hotel they think they are going to.
Had To Change Rooms 3 Times
No hot water in 1st room. 2nd room to small. 3rd room filthy bidet and bath, flooded bathroom plumber put acid in water pipes. problem with electricity, the food standard was very poor, the bar closed at 23.00 hrs and the entertainment was rubbish, eventually after all our problems and complaints we upgraded to fully inclusive on the 4th day, the area is lovely but the hotel is the worst we have ever stayed in after 40 years or so of travel.
and we demand some compensation. yours A.R.& W. Senior ref. 6011278

Ha,ha,ha. Booked 2 Weeks In The Fiesta Beach Apart
ha,ha,ha. booked 2 weeks in the fiesta beach apartments wich is a part of gran playa. got dropped off at said appartments to find out they were closed with a note on the door telling us to go to the gran playa. walked to gran playa in the rain with cases and we were put in the gran playa apartments so off we went again in the rain to our little holiday home. a dog kennel is more basic. no hot water for four days, then pool closed for three days but if you went in the pool you had to be brave with all the scum in it. i was in the forces 10 years and iv seen better ponds. towels and linen never changed unless asked for. final straw was when the ants started to run off with our bath towels out of the bathroom. after 8 days we were moved to gran playa so all in all we paid for 2 weeks in the fiesta beach and got moved to 3 different hotels. for you people who say its great you need to get a life. sa coma itself is a nice place but the hotel is rubbish.

Myself And My Partner Have Just Returned From Stay
Myself and my partner have just returned from staying at the Gran Playa for a week self catering.
We would never stay there again! When we arrived we were told our apartment was up the road and to the left when in fact it was directly opposite the main hotel over the road. Thank god we weren't all inclusive as walking to the main hotel bar for drinks all day would be a nightmare! Heard the food was terrible too, chips, chips, fish in sauce and more chips every single night. There was no entertainment in the hotel either!
No air conditioning in the room and the shower head was broken so we showered with just a little hose all week. The pool was never cleaned and was full of creatures and leaves. The pool bar was closed the entire time also!
The worst thing about the room was there were ants everywhere in every room! We woke up each night with ants crawling over us and in our bed. The cleaners came twice in the week and only made our beds, we didnt get clean sheets, pillows or toilet paper. We certainly wouldnt go back here but thank god it didnt spoil our holiday as the location itself was fantastic!

stayed at these appartments sept. 28th for seven days. rooms very basic, but also clean. my fridge didnt work properly, but out of the seven days stayed had full maid cleaning service for five. linen and towels etc, clean. my only downfall was really that the pool was not cleaned daily, although clorine level checked daily. pool bar was permently shut, but had it being open then it wouldnt have been quite and peaceful. went for quite and peaceful holiday and got exaclty it. if i had paid for five star hotel would have expected it, but never so couldnt expect anything different.

I Was Dreading This Holiday After Reading Quite A
I was dreading this holiday after reading quite a lot of bad reviews, but it really is not as bad as most of the reviews. we was self catering so was in an apartment which was down the road from the hotel, the room was okay, the only down fall was that the room didn't have air-con, but other than that it was an okay room, there was only a couple of other couple and family there's an the pool was quite quiet so could sunbath in peace, The beach is only down the road from the hotel and is also very close to a supermarket. There are quite a few good bars including The kings head, Britannia and The royal oak. There are lots of shops around and you can hie bike and cars. There is also a little town by Sa coma called S'illiot which is only a 5 minute walk away, with a quieter beach and pubs and shops. its a nice place to go for family's and couples.

This Is The Worst Hotel I Have Stayed In. I Have
This is the worst hotel I have stayed in. I have been visiting Majorca, Menorca and Benidorm roughly 3 times per year for the past 10 years, so I have stayed in quite a few hotels. I wouldn't go back to the Gran Playa!
I went on holiday with my 12 year old son and we arrived at the hotel at 7.30pm. We were checked in quickly and given the keys to our room. However, the receptionist then walked us up the road where she pointed us in the direction of some apartments on the next street. I told her that we had booked a hotel room in the hotel not an apartment and she told us this was not possible until the next day. As I obviously wasn't getting anywhere with her, I decided to accept the apartment and sort it out the next day. However, although the apartment was OK the toilet didn't work. It was also a bit creepy because the block looked very run down and was surrounded by bushes. There was a bar/caf but it was closed and surrounded by rubbish. The pool looked nice but we would have had a bit of walk to get drinks if we stayed there all day, which is not good on All Inclusive. I really didn't want to have to walk back there in the dark each night, so we went straight back to reception to request the original hotel room that we had booked. Again, we were told to come back the next day so we had no choice but to stay in the apartment for the night.
We went for our evening meal and assumed that the poor choice was because we were late getting there. We were wrong! The food was disgusting throughout our holiday and we lived on chips, bread rolls, cheese and pasta. Everything was greasy or unrecognisable. We are not fussy eaters and usually stay on All Inclusive, so we know what would normally be served and did not expect anything fantastic. However, we did expect to be able to put together a full meal at each sitting. The only nice food at the Gran Playa was the Nestle icecream that was always available in individual pots.
After the meal, I was ready for a few glasses of wine to make me feel better. The wine wasn't actually bad, the problem was getting the bar staff to serve us. Usually, whatever time of day or night, there was only one person serving. This meant a wait of around 15 - 20 minutes. Also, the staff were miserable and not very polite. One actually told my son to 'go away' when he asked for 2 drinks and was only given one. Although, big burly men covered in tattoos were being served 6 drinks at a time without any problem.
The entertainment was the worst I have seen in a hotel. To be fair, the Scouse girl and boy who were the entertainers tried their best and worked long hours but they were far from professional. They held a kiddie disco each evening followed by bingo. Then the main 'act' would be something like karaoke or kids dressing up and miming to Disney songs. We looked forward to a parrot show one night, but it was cancelled at the last minute without any reason being given.
Eventually, on our second evening we were moved to the room we had booked. This was OK. It wasn't spotless and we didn't get clean bedding or towels during our stay but it was better than the first apartment. I don't know why it was so difficult to get it. They only let us move after I caused a bit of a scene in reception and refused to go back to the apartment with the broken toilet. The manager was really abrupt and had no idea of customer service. He actually walked away from me while I was speaking to him and if it wasn't for a receptionist who spoke very good English, I don't know what would have happened.
The pool area was OK, nothing special but acceptable. There weren't enough sunbeds for the amount of guests but there were plenty of chairs and tables.
All I can say is, think twice before booking a stay at the Gran Playa. I won't go there again.

Was Dreading Hols At Club Gran Playa After Reading
Was dreading hols at club gran playa after reading reviews from narrow minded people. Yes ideal for a quiet hols excellent for kids can run round without worry. Food was excellent always something for everyone (as long as you are not picky if so stay at home). Had clean bedding every 2 days and towels room cleaned regulary. Staff very helpful and friendly. Yes will be going again worth going all inclusive as food & drinks are quite expensive.

Sa Coma Is Very Nice, Just A Shame About The Hotel
Sa Coma is very nice, just a shame about the hotel Club Gran Playa, was probably lovely in the sixties. I brought a bottle of bleach while I was there and cleaned my own room our sheets weren't changed in ten days and when we saw a trolley of towels we got clean ones. The plastic glasses around the pool were collected in black bags or the rubbish bin really. Glasses were another thing that they run out of. You have to laugh about it and we did have a good holiday, but I would never ever return.
