Room Was Clean And Tidy It's Only Downside Is The

room was clean and tidy it's only downside is the lack of air/con which is reflected in the very reasonable price. the location is excellent in a residential street providing a peaceful night's sleep with the bar's and cafe's at one end and a large asda style supermarket at the other. the staff we found to be very friendly and helpful. value for the money we paid was great and i would happily recommend this hotel to any one looking for budget accomodation in santa ponsa. the one downside to the miranda is that the pool as stated in the advert is not suited to children or non swimmer's as it is deep and has no shallow end.

We Stayed At The Miranda Hotel During The First We

We stayed at the Miranda hotel during the first week of July 2009.

Upon arrival, we were told by the owner (who did not introduce herself) that we had to swap rooms for the last night of our stay! She was unable to qualify why, and referred us to the manaGER. When we managed to speak to the manager 2 days later, she told us the owner, whom we had spoken to, could have addressed this matter with us!

Apparently, our specific room (which was very non-specific) had been booked and payed for a week before, so we would have to change to another room on the Friday night.

We voiced our disgust, but were informed that the room was booked and pre-payed 12 months previously so there was no alternative. When I informed her that in 20 years of holidaying abroad 3 or 4 times a year I had never been told I had to swap rooms part way through my stay, I was informed that this practice was commonplace ! For the Hotel Miranda, it would appear that this practice is of no concern or issue. Not so for me!

We were offered an early change of room so we did not lose our last full day, so opted to move on the Thursday. Our "new" room, we were informed, was usually more expensive as it had a fridge and (non - functioning) kitchenette.

Our original room was surface rather than deep cleaned but this other room was like stepping back to the 70's in its decoration, and still appeared to have the orignal dirt. The door had peeled paintwork and the terrace was dirty and littered in cigarette ends.

Clearly the management are not concerned with the hotel or its customers, so this hotel should be given a wide berth - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Just Back From A Fantastic Week At Hotel Miranda.

Just back from a fantastic week at Hotel Miranda. After reading some reviews here I was a little worried, but need not have been. The hotel is AMAZING value for money for where it is situated. It's basic, but then what do you expect for the price?! It's clean, tidy and well maintained. My friends paid 4 times what I did for a hotel MILES away from the beach. I stayed in a single room, which had a double bed, a wardrobe, 2 night stands, a lamp, a fan, a mirror and dressing table. I also had a balcony, which meant I could open up the door at night and let air in, that combined with the fan meant I didn't feel the need for air conditioning. I'd say it's like a Spanish 'travelodge' or similar - basic but clean. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower was VERY powerful. The rooms are cleaned every day, the towels are changed twice a week. The owner was really nice to me, I didn't find her lacking at all. The reception is not manned 24 hours but it's a small hotel - again, what do you expect?! The staff are all really nice and friendly. The bar snacks are good too - the sausage baguette is to die for, you MUST try one. I didn't see or hear a dog throughout my stay. There were dogs in the neighborhood, and occasionally I heard them bark, but that's not the fault of the hotel. It's in a very quiet location, I'd say it's more a single person or couples hotel, as there's not a lot for kids to do. The pool is big enough to do lengths in and was really quiet most days - no screaming kids and other people making noise - it was bliss!! As it is a small hotel you did sometimes hear noises from other rooms, people banging doors etc, but that happens wherever you stay, and it wasn't anything unbearable. Overall I was really impressed by Hotel Miranda and will definitely be returning, with all my friends!

The Miranda Hotel Is False Advertisement In My Opi

The Miranda Hotel is false advertisement in my opinion. I found some staff very rude and cheeky. The rooms in my eyes are a disgrace. Even though it's only a 2* Hotel, it's like a dump. It is very hard to find and is way out of reach of everything. Also the smell was horrible. I checked in with my 6 year old daughter and when I saw the room I checked out as quick as I could. Staff's attitude towards me was appalling and they would not refund me. I lost out on €500 and had to pay for another hotel. The Miranda hotel in my eyes is certainly not what it's made out to be.

Overall, We Had A Very Pleasant Stay At The Mirand

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at the Miranda Hotel in Santa Ponsa. The manager was very helpful to us during our stay there, and we will definitely be returning. it is an ideal hotel for a short break away from home. It is far enough away from night life to enable you to get a good nights sleep, yet not too far away and within easy walking distance of nightlife and the beach.

Overall The Miranda Hotel Is A Good Budget Priced

Overall the Miranda Hotel is a good budget priced hotel offering a good location and simple amenities. The rooms and bathrooms are compact.

Not suited to families with children or the 18-30.

Officially a one star rating for the hotel, but I feel it is worthy of more.

The swimming pool (more like a plunge pool - too small to swim in) is clean and provides a welcome respite from the hot Mallorcan sun.
