The Hotel Scorpius Marina Was Great And I Could On

The hotel Scorpius Marina was great and I could only fault one thing, that it was hard to get sunloungers but everything else was fantastic. I would definitely go again!

All Staff Were Very Friendly And Helpful. We Were

All staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a party of 12, and every one of us enjoyed ourselfs. The food menu early season was poor, we sometimes had trouble finding anything that looked good, but it did pick up as the week went in.

This Hotel Was Great. The Reception Staff Were So

This hotel was great. The reception staff were so polite and helped you with any problems you had. Inside the hotel was spotless and most people we talked to in the hotel were on there second or third visit. It felt like a proper holiday as not all the people that were staying were English. There was a mix of Spanish, Polish, Dutch and German also.

We went all inclusive on this holiday, which we wouldn't normally do as we enjoy going out on night however the food here was excellent. Fresh fish, meat, salads. Everything you could possibly want every night.

The pool area was OK but the private little beach that this hotel had was superb, no picture does it justice of just how beautiful it was. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. It was fantastic.

I cant wait for next summer, we've just booked to go back there again.

I Had The Time Of My Life At Scorpios Marina Hotel

I Had the time of my life at Scorpios Marina Hotel! as did my wife and kids, went on the 14 may 05 to 28 may 05, temperatures ranged between 23 and 29 Celsius.

Hotel and rooms clean (apart from the inevitable sand) if a bit small for 4,

The staff are very polite and appreciate a bit of Spanish off you.

Breakfast consists of either full English breakfast, toast, cereals, fruit, croissants and baps (my youngest who's 7 even came back with some strange looking cake!)

If your going half board the evening meal is self served with soup, med dishes/UK dishes on offer. BE prepared to see some strange food combinations from other guests (my self included!)

The only grumble with the food is the veg was overcooked, but since there kept warm under strong lights/under heaters, I guess they will continue to cook in there trays, vegetarians are also catered for.

The pool area is quite small for the 2 hotels (it shares some facilities with its sister hotel "Marina Corfu").

There is a lifeguard present at the pool and the hotel entertainment get volunteers for French bouilles, killer pool, water volleyball, darts and tennis.

There are signs round the swimming pool saying "the reserving of sunbeds is not allowed" ignore them! get up early to catch the few adjustable sunloungers. the rest are flat style.

The kids are well cared for, threes free crisps, ice creams, lollys and drinks at the main bar inside the hotel, this is not available at the pool bar, the pool bar has a basic fast food menu and opens at 9 am, prices are about on par with uk prices.

The first choice kids reps have a kiddies club and the wavelength club from 9=12 yr olds, they played games, some painting, drawing and face painting, also played games at/ around the pool area.

There is a kiddie's play area of sorts in the main bar but to honest it's not very good, they really need a dedicated night time play area, at least to cut the noise down in the main entertainment room! have you ever heard the sound of 20+ kids drinking free coke all day!

Night time entertainment consists of mini disco for the kids, bingo then the main attraction (as billed on board)

By far the hotels best feature is the stunning bay it looks out to. do your self a favour and go into Cala Egos and get a snorkelling set + flippers, lilo inflatable if need be, the water is crystal clear and like a mill pond (depending on sea conditions) I saw fish of all sizes, an octopus, flatfish, hermit crabs, you can swim out as far as you like, the water is still cool in May so just brace yourself and dunk your head. keep an eye out for jellyfish, there non fatal but still pack a mean sting, I know.

There was some litter in the sea that had had drifted in, but not a lot.

The beach is not private and it costs 2.5 euros to hire a sunlounger for the day.

All in all a very enjoyable holiday. I can see myself returning in a few years time.
