Some People Are Hard To Please

Returned from 2nd visit to Club Tonga in recent years on 6th Aug.Thoroughly enjoyed it yet again.Food and entertainment has improved since last visit. It is a large hotel so don't go if you like small and friendly.Entertainment team work hard day and night some of the shows are a bit cheesy but hey they are not professionals well done to Alex, Pinot, Eugeney and the rest of the team.I found bar staff very cheerful if you are same with them.2 drink rule keeps queues down in my opinion if you have children with you seems you can swap band so you can get more than 2 drinks ask on reception.Let's face it this hotel one of the most reasonably priced you can find and I reckon it's value for money if you want posh pay posh prices!!!Rooms and towels clean daily, food good, what more do you want for the money you have paid.Met some really nice people too.

Hotel Tonga Was Perfect For What We Was Wanting Fr

Hotel Tonga was perfect for what we was wanting from a holiday. Me my partner and our 2 year old son went to Can Picafort Hotel Tonga in Sept 2010 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was not brilliant and quite repatative but there is a snack bar as well which we used. The mini disco for the kids is fantastic my little boy loved it and demanded that we went everynight ! The hotel rooms are clean and comfortable and very spacious. The resort was great, the beach is only a 5 min stole from the hotel and it is definatley worth a visit, it is clean and the water was nice and warm, there are plenty of shops and restaurants down the front as well as down the side streets. I would definatley recomend the hotel and the resort, we got a fantastic deal to go here and it was worth every penny it was 3* and would go back again ! Travel Republic offer good deals to this hotel.

I Think Club Tonga Was Amazing The Entertainment W

i think club tonga was amazing the entertainment was the best thing i every seen the food was good but could be better e.g. we had same soup for the amount of time i was there. the staff was friendly and the bar was very quick and the room weren very clean. also the beach was 5 min walk and the pool is ready for when you had your breakfast. all together i think the best thing there was the entertain ment and the cocktail game at 12 o'clock.

i think that we paid the right amount of money for our holiday because it was fab !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After Reading The Reviews Before I Went To Hotel T

After reading the reviews before I went to Hotel Tonga on 9/8/10 I was a little unsure what to expect, after arriving there my own views were made. I went with my partner and 2 girls aged 13 and 7, we had one room to share but made the most of it. The rooms had air conditioning and a fan so were kept cool when in the room as they worked when your key card was slotted in. The staff were very friendly towards us all and were very helpful when the girls tried to ask for things in Spanish. The hotel, entertainment and pool areas were always kept clean and I only had to get up at 7.45 to get a sunbed and even then there were beds left towards 9.00am. The food was what you would expect from 3* and the girls remarked on the amount of salt used but they soon got used to it. My hat goes out to the entertainers who worked all day and night to keep the children and adults entertained and tried to accommodate all tastes, after the childrens disco was adult time so the bingo and shows were for the adults and if children were around then it may not have been to their liking. I do have to say that the lifts were slow, however most people got fit and walked up and downstairs. We will be returning next year as we had a great 10 days.

The Location Of The Hotel Is Really Good And The R

The location of the hotel is really good and the resort and the beach is beautiful and very clean. Hotel Club Tonga its self is very clean and has lots to other such as tennis courts, volleyball courts, a football pitch and two swimming pools. However it is not a place for couples or anyone who does not have kids. All the entertainment day and night is catered towards families with very young kids and the hotel is over run by families and kids running around every were. The hotel has to many rooms and too many people staying to cater for every one. You have to get down to the pool at 6 in the morning in order to get a deck chair otherwise you will not get one as there is not enough deck chairs for all the guests.

The food is good and there is a range of food to pick from however it is very repetitive and very simple and if you like going on holiday and trying the local dishes or eating something different that isn't chips, you will not get this here but there are loads of beautiful restaurants and bars along the sea front to make up for this. Also the lifts are far too small as you can only get 4 people max in them and they take forever to arrive. We were waiting over 5 minutes once for one of the 4 lifts to come down so if you are on the 14th floor be prepared to wait a long time for them to get to you!

Overal the hotel is a great place for families but not for any one else. We would definitely go back to can picafort as the restaurants and the beach are beautiful but we would stay at a different hotel.

I Have Just Returned From Club Tonga,i Spent A Wee

I have just returned from club Tonga,i spent a week there 11 aug 2010,to be honest the lifts are a pain but you soon pick up what the really busy times are, the food is 3 star food, a bit same old same old but it fine, there two types of people who holiday here, some just stay on site and dont move more than 20 yards from the free bars and the others who use the place as a base for a holiday, the hotel is huge so yes you do tend to queue but the staff are well trained and the queues quickly disappear,if you want a sunbed get your towel down early any later than 8am forget it, to sum the holiday up it was great, the good far outweight the bad and to be honest bad is a strong word to use,I will definately go back, but i`ll try and get on floors 1 to 4, were a normal family that dont expect champagne for lemonade money and we enjoyed it ...

Best Part Of This Hotel Was The Maid Service Daily

Best part of this hotel was the maid service daily. The entertainment was awful, like something out of eurotrash and some of the comments made by the entertainment manager was not at all appropriate for children particularly during the bingo session eg references to the number 69 complete with actions. The dining room was too busy and you had to wait whilst tables were cleared before you could eat, the second week was so busy that you couldn't get a sunbed, some of the staff were not friendly. Had to carry cases up to floor 11 as the lifts were too busy on arrival and we had asked for a low floor on booking. The food was ok, a bit repetitive. Some of the other guests were rude and unfriendly.Won't be going back!

I Recently Returned From A Week In Club Tonga And

I recently returned from a week in Club Tonga and overall i thought it was brilliant. The rooms were basic but thats what you expect cause afterall its only where you sleep and shower and the shower was small but did the job just the same. The food was good as there was different choices each time which is good although a few things are repetitve but thats good. The entertainment was brilliant each night so much effort goes into each show and the kids mini club was very popular and made it very enjoyable for the children. The walk is only about 5/10 minutes to the beach and its a lovely beach with lifeguards on duty. saying that though the pools are very clean and good just rather busy but again your on holiday what do you expect. Only bad thing was waiting for the lifts as they were awful to get in at certain times. The wait at the bar wasnt as bad as people say the most you wait is 10 minutes. I definately would return and reccomend.

We Went To The Club Tonga Hotel For A 7 Night Stay

We went to the Club Tonga Hotel for a 7 night stay with 4 adults and two children (2 and 8). On arrival early Sunday morning, we were not expected until after 12 noon and no rooms were available. We were, however, allocated two rooms together on the 14th floor reasonably quickly. There are 4 lifts. Three of them are tiny and they are extremely slow to access at meal times.

The rooms were clean and were serviced daily. Don't expect luxury, though! The restaurant was always extremely busy with some tables, strangely, roped off. The food was not great, but wasn't awful. We really only ate in the hotel at breakfast time, but had the occasional evening meal. Snacks were adequate, but nothing special. Expect queues at the bar with local beer being served with a huge head in a plastic tumbler smaller than a half pint. All other drinks in the all inclusive package are locally produced, as you would expect, but there is a good range.

The two pools were always busy, but there was never a problem getting hold of sunbeds, as there seemed to be plenty. There are no parasols, but some trees provide shade if you position yourself properly. Activities during the day are the usual - boules, water polo, scuba, etc - with something on each morning and afternoon.

The early evening entertainment seemed to be enjoyed by all the kids taking part. The musical shows later really were quite poor, but the staff were very enthusiastic and tried their best.

The hotel is a five minute, or so, walk from the beach. Very safe for swimming with lifeguards always on duty. The resort itself is very pleasant with some nice shops and one or two very good bars.

All in all, the Club Tonga Hotel not nearly as good as some of the reviews claim, but it's not the worst place on the planet. If you can get a cheap deal, then it would be worth considering. If you are quoted any more than around £275 each for all inclusive, maybe look elsewhere.
