First Choice Reprensentation And The Hotel

Plane arrival 3 hrs late.Not Thomsons fault. At 23.30 with a 9 yr old, difficulty getting checked in due to us not having received the First Choice booklet and only having our on-line paperwork. Daughter very tired and grumpy.

Had booked for 2 adults and 1 child (all costing the same), in bedroom , no bed for child (now midnight).

Reception fairly helpfull but no access to spare beds nor staff to deal with. Security guard obtained a mattress and made up a bed on the floor for daughter.

Got to bed circa 12.30 am.

Holiday thereafter fine.

We paid 10 Euros as deposit on swimming towels and receipt issued with clear warning that we needed the receipt for deposit refund (30 Euros).

Lost our receipt but no chance of refund from hotel. We had the 3 towels in our possession, but still no joy over refund. So I think that the hotel could adopt a better system here by recording our hire of same since on hols, we all lose bits of paperwork.

Ability to see your Rep was difficult. There was no `Welcome Pack` we were unaware of his presence and it was a few days before there was a notation on the Thomson board of when he would be at the hotel. Further, the Thomson file was not easily found and several other holidaymakers expressed their anxiety (to us) over not knowing when to meet (the rep) where to meet and no ready info about trips, return pick-up etc. Needs more clarification.

Other people complained directly to your rep that they had no info and I overheard 3 separate people arguing this point. The rep said he had pushed paperwork under their doors... but 3 people complaining... !

Apart from the above, enjoyed the break and this is the first time in many holidays with 1st Choice we felt a bit let down.
