We Stayed At Guesthouse Lida In Prague From 06 - 1
We stayed at Guesthouse Lida in Prague from 06 - 10 October 2006, and we had a most enjoyable stay. Owned by two brothers, it is a 20th century mansion converted into a B&B. The place is very well kept and modern. Private bath in rooms, good breakfast buffet is served until late in the morning, which is good for us, non-morning couple. They have an "honor-system" of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available in their breakfast area. A parking garage is only 2 minutes walk from the place. Tram and Metro stops are only 5 minutes walk away.
We felt so much at home during our stay. Aside from our host having a lot of information about the city, which he will give the guest(s) a brief intro upon arrival - he has train tickets and museum passes available for purchase. Should a guest or guests need to go to a show or tour of the city, He can certainly make arrangements for reservation(s). He had recommended some excellent restaurants and pubs to go to as well. Not to mention that he is knowledgeable about Czech and international wines.
We travel around Europe a lot, and we had stayed in other nice and friendly hotels and/or B&B's, but this topped it all, as far as location, hospitality and just having a wonderful stay. Having said that, we are booked for the following month to stay at Guesthouse Lida - and to see more museums and sights that we didn't get to see and things to do.
