Fabulous Clean, Tidy And Spacious Apartment. We To
Fabulous clean, tidy and spacious apartment. We too were told that we were staying in the block on Wenceslas Square and could not have wished for a better location for sight seeing and ease of access to all main attractions. We found the receptionist in Vodickova street very informative, courteous and helpful. Our apartment had a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and plenty of clean, fresh, comfortable bedding, a great shower and a good amount of cutlery and crockery and pots and pans. The apartment overlooked the Square which in high season could be a little noisy but with the windows closed and aircon on you don't notice. Prague is a fantastic city and I will certainly visit again and stay in the Vodickova. They also picked us up at the airport for £10 and were punctual and a fantastic cab driver gave us a guided tour on the way to the hotel.
Do visit the Countrylife vegetarian restaurant - cheap and plentiful veggie food delicious even for you non veggies - we had takeaway for 3 to eat in the park for £11. total.
Do wear comfy shoes if you are doing lots of walking as loads of cobbled streets. Some restaurants charge more for eating outside - ask beforehand. If you do the boat-trip it's cheaper down by the quay on the riverside the other side of the bridge. We found out that they change the guard up at the castle at midday-very ceremonial and quite regal. If you are a student take your student card as big discounts for students in most big attractions. Take sunscreen if you go in the Summer it was 84 deg when we went in July and very hot.
I Would Be Glad To Provide Information About My St
I would be glad to provide information about my stay at the Vodickova Hotel.First of all, we did not stay at the same building that was shown at the hotel's webpage. During our research for an apartment we read at the hotel's webpage: "Vodickova Apartments provide convenient andquite accommodation in the heart of Prague's center namely in Vodickova street". The apartment we stayed in was not in Vodickova street but directly on Wenceslas Square. And this is information that was not provided at the webpage. Moreover, the cleaning service was very poor. At the hotel's reception we were told that since the Vodickova Hotel was an apartment hotel there was not a daily cleaning service programme. The problem was that this basic information was not provided at the hotel's web page and I admit that it was a very unpleasant surprise for us. If we knew that from the beginning, we would never book our stay there. In addition, next to our apartment's balcony was the chimney of the hotel's restaurant. As a consequence, from the early morning to the late evening (during the working hours of the restaurant) we could not open the windows because if we did so the smell of the air was unbearable. This is NOT something that expects us from a 126 euro per night hotel. And when we asked for extra blankets and sheets, we were simply ignored. I had to go twice at the reception to ask for them (which means that I had to lose some time from my holidays) and still never got them!! Summarizing, I would say that the Vodickova Hotel did not meet our expectations. I strongly believe that with 126 euro per night, we could definitely find a better, cleaner and quieter apartment. The good point was, that a taxi service from Prague-transfer.eu Company from Airport to the Hotel and back was in time.I hope that this information will be useful for tourists.
