Paraiso Albufeira Apartments

me and my boyfriend stayed in Paraiso Albufeira Apartments mid september this year, we read the reviews AFTER we had booked, which was probably a bad idea as most of them were terrible! people were saying how bad it was and complaining about the food and sunbeds. overall it was a great holiday! we were self catering which we found great as the room has almost a full kitchen - microwave, kettle, oven and grill, i would say its better to go self catering than all inclusive as the food didnt look that great and looked more like a school canteen if i'm honest! the hotel was close enough to the old town with all the restaurants and the beach etc, but not too close to be too noisy. the restaurants are lovely and most places have lovely staff. i agree with everyone who says it isnt a 4* hotel, the room in general was very clean and the hotel was nice, it just felt a bit dated. we read that you had to pay for sunbeds round the pool which we were not impressed with, turns out this is just if you want a sunbed 'topper' like a mattressy thing! we were fine with just laying our towels over the plastic sunbeds, they weren't that uncomfy atall! i think its a great place to stay for families and couples and would definitely come back here another time!
