Sliema, Hotel Plaza Regency

This was booked as a Single Room. My introduction to room 409, was at 04-20am (Flight late to Malta, Temp; then Possible 90deg. A definite 79-80degs humidity.Slept until 12-30/12-45am in reception area. No sign of Thomas Cook Rep(didn't even unpack) why you may ask. No air CONDITIONER working. This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in the evening meal is awful, one the rooms offered to the single person in our group looked out over roof tops at the back of the hotel, another one was like a prison cell with a small window with a wall about 4 foot away from it, in the end she was given a room on the side of the hotel with a balcony, but this was after a lot of hassel, goodnees knows why because the hotel was almost empty and I am not surprised. We were on the 5th floor and were woken 2 mornings at 6.30 am by staff moving tables and chairs about in the restaurant, this the manager denide, but you could see thay had been moved when you went up to the restaurant which is on the 6th floor. Sport on all TVs in the public areas, it was even left on in the bar when the entertainment was on {with the sound off} so the bar staff could watch it and some of the entertainment were stood with their back to the guests watching the football. All in all the hotel was just awful & I won't be traveling there again!
