Mellieha Bay, Luna Holiday Complex

We have just come back from spending a week at the Luna Holiday Complex. We found it to be an excellent base, the hotel was clean, the appartments were basic but contained everything we needed and the staff were so helpful. The minimarket was well stocked and opened at 7.30am.

We are planning to return next year, a bit earlier in the season as we found it a little too hot - 30+C - to do any serious sightseeing. Great for relaxing though!

Myself, partner and 4 children have used the Luna for 12 years and can honestly say we have never had a bad holiday at the Luna Malta. We are always made welcome and it is like going to a family party. The staff just cannot do enough for you

Rooms are basic but very clean, the restaurant served very good food. Have been three times before going again for the fourth visit. If you want a holiday to enjoy this is a good choice.

I expected this hotel to be a lot better than it was, I have been in hotels before of the same star rating and this is by far the worst. I did not like anything about it! Will definitely not be going back.

We went to the Luna Holiday Complex, Mellieha Bay in 2005. We booked a Superior Studio which was fantastic. It was very spacious and bright. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My daughter's pyjamas went missing with the laundry, but they immediately gave us money for a new pair!

It's situated at the bottom of a VERY steep hill on the main road that leads up to the village. Car hire is recommended! There are enough places to eat in the area around the complex if you don't want to travel further afield, and they cater for all budgets. Also very close to the best ice-cream parlour in the world!

Overall, we loved this place so much, that we are going back again this year (2007).

We would highly recommend Luna Holiday Complex and Mellieha Bay to anyone, especially families with children as the beach is very safe.
