Cry For Upgrade

Although we keep going back, I just don´t get it why this place with such a big potential does not even manage to get the basics right. The mattress are aged and out of this world uncomfortably, let alone the pillows which cant even be called pillows whatsoever. The bar is runned with a stupid system and ques are endless and guests have to even wait after non guests. The place is like its running on its own with lots of different foreign employees which sometimes its even like impossible to communicate with as not all of them can speech or understand proper English. In the morning you´ll meet the housekeeper which was waiting on you the night before, this shows that they are not well trained waiters at all. Hospitality and courtesy is not even close to average and only few locals employees like the one's in the reception which are up to the job and make you feel at home. About buffet service and quality of food we can't really complain but it used to be better and we used to get more local fresh products, although the fact that to get a cup of coffee at breakfast was like mission impossible, as you will have to wait for cups while it seems that there is no one around that care enough to get some when they are runned out and this goes for other things too, like soup, pasta etc. As I said before, the place has a great potential but its like there is no one running it and they are not well prepared for the eventuality of a rush hour or a good season for all that matters. At the pools its like, do what you like.... play football, jump in the pool, run around, occupy as much as you wish deckchairs etc etc, no one will say or do nothing, no pool attendant whatsoever, no nothing, not even proper shades as most of them are small, old and broken. Although I can understand that its a 3 star hotel I am sure they can do better, I love going there but I always end up being disappointed.

I Went To Hotel Comino Malta For The First Time La

I went to Hotel Comino Malta for the first time last year. We arrived early in the morning, but the fishing boat made that tiredness and boredom of the flight worthwhile! A tiny fishing boat in the pitch black in the middle of the sea rocking like an earthquake was hilarious! By the time we got to the hotel, I was soaking wet! But when we arrived, we were greeted with friendly staff and a plate of sandwiches and bottles of water.

The first morning when we woke was amazing - opened the curtains wide and sunlight just poured in! I ran out of our bungalow onto the balcony, and looked out at the sea, breathed in the fresh warm air.

There was so much to do - but so little at the same time! There was 2 pools, one at the bungalows and one at the hotel. The bungalow pool was slightly smaller but more intimate. We spent most of our days there with odd days chilling at the hotel when we fancied a change!

At the hotel there is a watersports area were you can hire all sorts and spend some time on the open water next to all the expensive boats that Dad used to admire everyday!

All this was amazing but the food beats it all hands-down! Breakfast was delicious, but it was always very hot! Lots to choose from - eggs (poached, scrambled, fried), sausages, bacon, soute potatoes, croissants, yoghurts, and many many many more! Lunch was just as nice, all homemade meats and fish and for the less adventurous there was always a range of pasta and something with chips! Dinner was the best - my favourite part of the day! I used to get so excited on the way there, that i even slipped down a hill one time (don't worry - it didn't hurt!) Dinner was the same as lunch, slightly grander though! Desserts were my passion - mousses, cake, fruits, cheese, ice cream and many more!

The last day of our holiday was horrible, I cried as the fishing boat took us away from the place i fell in love with. When we got home, we couldn't wait to book it again for this year! I recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from everyday life and just chill.

Being An Island On Its Own, Away From Malta And Go

Being an island on its own, away from Malta and Gozo, the location of Hotel Comino in Comino, Malta is superb. The pool and terrace areas are very spacious. Mainly free watersports facilities, which were excellent. Restaurant and food was wonderful. The choice of drinks is very good - everything from lager to cocktails. Staff and management are 5 star, and nothing is too much trouble, day or night. Rooms were more than adequate. Easy to go sightseeing on both Malta and Gozo via The Comino Boat, which runs on a regular timetable to both islands. 10 minute stroll to the Blue Lagoon.

If there is a bad point it is the fact that the hotel is rated as a 4 star. The decor is in need of a minor makeover. That is as bad as it gets. There is nothing else on this island except this hotel. Some may think that's a bad point - we don't.

If you want a nice quiet holiday in the nearest place to paradise on an all inclusive basis at very reasonable prices in the Med, then this is the place to go. The repeat business the hotel gets speaks for itself. Roll on next May.
