Sorrento, Grand Hotel Flora Sorento

Good 4 star Hotel at an excellent location, with great food and nice rooms. Very helpfull and efficient staff especially in Restauraunt and the Bar/pool area. Only negative for me was the lack of a Gym!

Hotel: Waiting and bar staff are fantastic! So friendly - not to mention some handsome ones. I would go back to the hotel just for the staff alone.

Rooms were much smaller than their website photo's. The hotel is situated on the main road which is very noisy and busy. Ask for a seaview so that you don't have a room on the main road, facing a petrol station. Very narrow pavements make it unsuitable for anyone disabled. Also, no ramp for wheelchairs anyway!

Food was much better than expected. I am almost vegetarian (I eat fish) but could always find something to eat. Only one night I couldn't find anything to suit me on the menu so asked for an omelette which was no problem. There's also a big salad bar. Breakfast choice was good too.

Resort: Sorrento is as good base for visiting the cultural sites. Don't go if you're looking for wild night-life as you just won't find it. Plenty of shops and restaurants.
