Bologna, Jolly Hotel De la Gare

Bologna Jolly Hotel De la Gare is a lovely four star hotel in the town square, the staff were very helpful; they booked taxis for us and gave us maps of the area. The rooms were lovely, very clean and modern. Getting around the area was easy; trains were cheap and on time. My son wanted room service most of our stay; it was lovely, but not that cheap but when is room service cheap? There were lots of expensive shops in the area, but well worth the trip, we were warned not too go out too late as there were beggars everywhere, beware of people trying to sell fake Louis Vuitton handbags, they're everywhere and they don't leave you alone, but if you buy one of these bags you can get into trouble on your return journey home as customs is very strict, on the whole Bologna is a very friendly place to go with kids as the locals love children, while we were there we visited the Ferrari museum, very cool place costs about fifteen euros , but if your a petrol head you'll love it. While we were there we bought lots of model cars, but in the small area of Modena, if you visit all the little shops you see a big difference in prices, so hold on to your money until you're sure it's a good price.
